This gateway is located in a rural settlement and act as the entry way to the premises of the local NGO Ashrai who works for the development of the country. They have special attention for the indigenous people. Bangla word Ashrai means Shelter. The entry way and formal reception areas are accommodate under floating slabs. Rather than a strong form we integrated different elements in to a single piece of architecture. Significant horizontal as cast concrete slabs create gesture of protection from natural calamities. Here the expression is more humble accommodating.
