Street Revamp

For homogeneous urbanization of Rajshahi town few specific street has been selected to revamp. Main goal was to encourage pedestrian movement and civic activities whilst keeping the environmental impact minimum. Streets are furbished with accommodation for cycling and pedestrian way, gathering space, different type of sitting area, bus stoppage etc. to activate public involvement around the areas. This would be also a mode of socialization among the city dwellers. Existing greens were preserved and new plants were introduced at appropriate locations to provide shelter from the sizzling sun. Surface drains were treated as water containers to evolve with natural flora and fauna. For water preservation deep soil water discharge mechanism has been adopted along the drainage route. Most of the existing materials on site were reused for construction efficiency.
